Meet The Doctors

Dr. Baldassari-Cruz is a native Californian born in San Francisco and raised on the Peninsula.  She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California San Francisco in 1990 and commissioned into the United States Navy Dental Corps upon graduation. 

Dr. BC completed a one-year hospital dental residency at San Diego Naval Medical Center and as a Naval officer she practiced general dentistry around the world and on a Navy warship.  Dr. Baldassari-Cruz completed post-graduate training in Endodontics at the University of Iowa, College of Dentistry in 1998 and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics in 2001. 

Dr. BC spent 2 years teaching full time as an Assistant Professor of Endodontics at the University of Iowa after leaving the Navy.  She currently teaches General Practice Dental Residents at the VA Medical Center in Palo Alto and is a Basic Life Support Instructor/Trainer for the San Mateo County Dental Society.  Dr. Baldassari-Cruz also provides assistance to candidates who work toward their Board Certification in Endodontics and has been a Manuscript reviewer on the Scientific Advisory Board for the Journal of Endodontics for 10 years. 

Dr. BC is a member of many professional dental organizations, CDA, ADA, AAE, ABE, COD, MPDS, SMCDS, CSAE and the Northern California Academy of Endodontics where she just completed her last year on the Board of Directors as President.  Dr. BC has published research articles in the Journal of Endodontics, and in the Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, Oral Radiography and Endodontics.

Dr. BC loves working with patients helping them improve their dental health.  Her encouraging motto is  “Preserving Your Natural Smile.” 

Dr. BC enjoys outdoor activities, exercise, cooking, eating out, singing, reading, traveling, shopping, and movies.  She has a 7 year old Miniature Schnauzer named Amy and loves taking her to the park.
